In 2000 and 2001 Mercedes ran in the Carolina Horse Show Association ( CHSA ). In 2000 she won the Champion title in Green Barrels and 3rd. in Adult Barrels. In 2001 she was the Champion Open and Adult Barrels. This is quite an accomplishment as Mercedes has a handicap.She has only one eye. She has to trust me completely on the first barrel as she can not see anything to her right side. |

Mercedes has been out to pasture enjoying being a horse and taking care of her foals since 2002. As of October 2007 she is coming out of retirement and is returning to the Barrel Racing Arena! I hope to have a full season with her next year. |
